Editorial, Update and Corrections Policy
Purpose
Shadow Operator Launchpad publishes practical educational material. Pages are designed to help a reader make a decision or complete a task, not to manufacture search traffic around unrelated topics.
Research and sourcing
Time-sensitive product, pricing, platform, and business-model claims are checked against first-party sources whenever possible. Secondary sources may add context, but they do not replace the original source when one is available. Links should point to the exact supporting page rather than a company's homepage.
Examples, estimates, and results
Worked economics are labelled illustrative and show their assumptions. Timelines, reply rates, revenue, and conversion figures are never guarantees. A claim is called a case study only when there is enough inspectable evidence to document what happened, over what period, and under which conditions.
Authorship and AI assistance
The Jake Mercer byline identifies the editorial voice across this site and The Operator's Edge. AI tools may assist with outlining, research organization, drafting, editing, software changes, or QA. The publisher remains responsible for source selection, factual claims, judgment, and the final page.
Updates
Visible and structured-data modification dates change only after a substantive content update. Cosmetic edits, typo fixes, or footer changes do not justify a fresh date. Time-sensitive sections should include an “as of” date where the answer may change.
Corrections
Corrections are prioritized by impact. To report one, message The Operator's Edge on Medium with the page URL, disputed statement, and a supporting source. Material errors are corrected in the article; small typographical fixes may be made silently.
Commercial independence
The site currently identifies no paid placement or affiliate relationship in its published guides. If that changes, affected pages must disclose the relationship near the relevant recommendation. Editorial inclusion cannot be purchased without clear labelling.
